Position Description
As stewards of the WSU System Strategic Plan, we are looking for two students to support our planning and communication efforts. These hands-on roles may be a regular part-time position or a 3-credit internship; both are paid and will work 20 hours a week. These students will assist the Director of Strategic Communication to implement aggressive communication strategies in the following ways:
- PR and marketing campaign implementation
- Regular creative and strategy meetings
- Project coordination
- Content creation in at least two of the following areas:
- Graphic Design
- Social Media
- Writing
- Website development
- Video
- Assist in other work with strategic planning, including environmental scanning.
Skills and Qualifications
- Required: Graphic design skills. Must be able to efficiently use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Premiere Pro a plus. Must have passed COM210 with a B or higher.
- Required: Strong Writing skills
- Required soft skills: Time management, reliable, detail oriented, strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Desired: Experience with techniques used in advertising, media communications, social media and public relations.
- Required: Junior or Senior status
